OWIAPOTCH
A photography series inspired by the works of Jenny Holzer, features Radiohead lyrics.
This photo series was a project I made for my Integrated Media class, the course had a focus on combining two different forms of media to create something unique. Here I was tasked with stepping outside of my cinema/video comfort zone and create something inspired by artist Jenny Holzer.
Holzer is best known for her “projections,” statements that combine physical geometry, projections, typography, and photography.
For my assignment, I decided to re-contextualize the “projections” format to fit within my own life. I combined Radiohead lyrics, my dorm room, common student grievances, and the most well-known Swarthmore buildings to create a narrative that represents a part of my life as a student.
