GEHWA Documentary

Editorial

The Great Egg Harbor Watershed Association (GEHWA) was formed in 1989 to promote the protection of the Great Egg Harbor River and the Great Egg Harbor Watershed through its designation by Congress into the federal Wild & Scenic Rivers Program. Its creation was a legal breakthrough, one that combined private lands with federal resources to protect the larger river system.

I was tasked with editing a short documentary that introduced and explained both the GEHWA and the Great Egg Harbor River. Over four hours of interviews and multiple days of additional shoots were condensed down into a six minute documentary short.

Graphic Design

Alongside the editorial, I designed all of the lower thirds and graphics used in the project. I decided on a modern, iOS-inspired glassy aesthetic. I loved the concept of the river itself becoming the color palette used in the lower thirds. Alongside that, I wanted this modern aesthetic to further highlight just how on the cutting edge of environmental conservation the GEHWA was.
